Rotarian Tarun Sanghvi has been invested as the 9th President of Rotary Club Palm Grove Estate at a grand Investiture Ceremony held at the Lagoon Restaurant Victoria Island Lagos on Saturday, September 10.
Speaking to Peplnews on the vision of the humanitarian organisation during his tenure, the new president of Rotary Club Palm Grove, Rtn Sanghvi stated that the chapter is already doing well in the area of blood donation and so would like to expand it to increase its impact not just in Lagos but Nigeria as a whole
.”We are the best performing club in the district that donated 10% blood to Lagos State and will like to make it national”
He said they are partnering with Lagos State Government to build a State of the Art hospital in Lagos so that Nigerians can access quality medical care here at home without having to travel to India.
President, Rotary Club Lagos Island, RTN Vinod Kumur Garg described Nigerians as warm and hospitable people who deserve the best partnership and support possible.
“Nigerians are good and nice people that is why we try to build a good relationship within the club and make sure we collect 20% of the blood donation from club to Lagos state because we are doing humanitarian service which is our theme of this year”
Governor District 9110, Rotarian Patrick Ijehon Ikheloa challenged the two newly elected presidents to embark on a massive membership drive so as to raise their membership to mega club. He also urged them to strive to put smiles on people’s faces and reach out to the less privileged in the society in line with the vision of Rotary.
The event also witnessed the induction of the office bearers of both chapters of the club.
