Rockcleft School Surulere, Lagos feted pupils and parents as it celebrated its end of the year/Christmas carol 2017 amidst fanfare.
True to the Rockcleft School’s tradition, the event was colourful in every standard as parents, guardians and invited guests were treated to brilliant and inspiring presentations by the pupils of the school which has Creche, Nursery and Primary as well as Secondary levels.
The Management of the school, Academic/Administrative staff, pupils and students of the school rolled out the drums to showcase how they have positively impacted on the lives of the young ones and to thank God for preserving their lives and those of the parents in 2017 and also to pray for the years ahead.
Some of the parents who spoke to Peplnews, expressed satisfaction over the standard of education in Rockcleft Schools and the level of knowledge being impacted on the children.
“It is a thing of joy seeing these children’s performances today. When I look at the school and what they have achieved, I feel that the sky is their limit” a parent Mr Daniel said.
Children’s presentation took centre stage as the pupils displayed colourful performances and Christmas carol songs to entertain the guests that graced the event.
Some of the pupils of the school who spoke to Peplnews on the significance of Christmas, demonstrated that the lessons of Christmas were not lost on them.
Miss Adanna Enyiocha described Christmas as the day Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord, adding that his birth has become a pillar of Christianity.
Similarly Tofarati Odutola also a pupil of the school described Christmas as the season of love sharing, just like Christ sacrificed his life to redeem mankind from eternal damnation.
Parents, Guardians and invited Guests took to the floor to join the children in celebrating the day as they displayed some dance steps to the admiration of the children.
