Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has promised to further upgrade the newly constructed BRT bus terminal at the Tafawa Balewa Square TBS Lagos, to enhance commercial activities in the area.

The Governor disclosed this on his Instagram page Sunday “We will give the TBS bus terminal a face lift and raise it to a world class facility to aid commercial activities”

The presence of The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) which was introduced in Lagos in 2008 by the former Governor Babatunde Fashola brought relief to Lagosians due to its large carrying capacity. convenience and affordability.

According to some of the passengers who spoke to peplnews, at the BRT terminal at Tafawa Balewa Square, Marina, Lagos, ” It is easier to ply, it is cheaper, spacious and more convenient”. .

The BRT saves time for passengers who are in a  hurry to get to their destinations as Passengers only get to wait for 10 to 15 minutes. The fair is stable and the bus is fully air-conditioned.

In a bid to further enhance passenger’s experience from the point of boarding to destination, the State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode had embarked on the construction of modern terminals across the state. 
Being a major terminal, the TBS  BRT modern terminal which is over 75 % completion has been  described as a commendable initiative of the Ambode administration, by passengers.

This terminal has a sitting capacity for over a thousand passengers as well as shelter.

Their are plans to introduce card payment system on the BRT transport scheme . 

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has however promised to transform the TBS bus terminal to a world class facility.
