Amaechi celebrates outgoing MOT Director of press

Honourable Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi during the interactive section with Journalist in abuja, Tuesday.

Honourable Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Tuesday thanked the outgoing Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Mrs Yetunde Soyinka for her contribution and service in the Ministry. 

Amaechi spoke during an interactive session with the press at the Nicon Luxury Abuja.

“Let me thank the director of press for her service in the Federal Ministry of Transportation. She has served our dear country Nigeria creditably and meritoriously as a civil servant,” the Minister said.

Mrs Yetunde Soyinka who started her service on 12 September 1983 as a civil servant has served in various ministries including the Ministry of defence and ended it all yesterday in the Federal Ministry of Transportation.

In her closing remark during the press interactive session, Mrs Soyinka thanked God for the success of her 35 years in service. She also thanked her boss, the Minister of Transportation for participating in the Media interactive session.

“Thank you, sir, for making out time to be with us to address issues that have been raised here for the proper information and education of the citizens and stakeholders in the Transportation Sector,” She said.

Soyinka also thanked her colleagues and staff of the Ministry of Transportation. She said, “this will mark my last official outing in the Federal Civil Service, having served meritoriously for 35 years. I give God Almighty thanks for His mercies and sound health as I will proceed for retirement on 12th September 2018.

“Finally, thank you, Honorable Minister of Transportation, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Colleagues and staff in the Ministry and colleagues in the media profession, and above all, my staff at the Press and Public Relations Unit of the Ministry. God bless you all,” she said.

The honourable minister wished her well in her pursuit of future Endeavors.
